antique organ bench piano stool, Victorian vintage music storage seat

Very old handmade organ / piano seat, lovingly crafted of 1800s period moldings, made to store small music books or hymnals inside the seat. The seat measures 19" x 8" over the top, and stands 18" tall from the floor.

This was refinished during the 1950s, and has 'newer' blue cloth upholstering the seat, as well as a 1950s refinishing job on the wood. We'd guess the original finish would be much darker, and the seat would have displayed a needlepoint or tapestry fabric.
