mid-century mod vintage Popular Science Mechanics magazines, retro sci-fi cover art

Lot of twelve old issues of Popular Science, Popular Mechanics and Mechanix Illustrated magazines as shown, most 1940s or 50s, one from 1963. Space age vintage!

These have been stored in a man cave garage for many years now, and they smell musty. They're smooth and flat, no water damage visible, pages largely clean of foxing though a few of these have loose covers.

I haven't tried any 'tricks' to clean these up (never stored in cat litter, or sprayed with anything - which I think smells worse than musty old paper!) They're not mint condition copies in any case (though I believe all are complete), but the articles and ads are interesting and fun. And the best part is the pulp novel style cover art!
