old gold silk or rayon floss, silky satin embroidery or wrapping thread

Satiny smooth vintage silk or rayon thread, five large spools in this lot. These are big spools, each weighs 1/2 pound, and measures about 3 1/4" x 3".

It's not marked at all, and we just are not certain if this is rayon or silk thread, even though we've burn tested it several times.

We're also uncertain of it's original purpose - it came out of the estate of a weaver, but it looks more like an embroidery thread or wrapping for lamp cords, decorative frogs or other trimmings.
