hand-stitched vintage cotton quilt, circle star quilt in orange & white

Vintage hand-stitched quilt in orange solid and white, beautifully made, yet strikingly modern in style! It's 30s to 50s vintage at our guess - we seldom see hand sewing in newer quilts, and the cotton fabrics used here seem right for that period in both color and quality. It measures 82" x 74" overall.

I don't believe this quilt was ever used, though it does have a few spots from the original fabric as well as from its years in a cedar chest. We've aired it outside, but have not washed it or had in cleaned.
