vintage Smith glass hobnail pattern shot glasses or egg cups, footed cordials?

Set of four vintage Smith glass hobnail pattern glasses, about 2 3/8" tall, 1 3/8" across the openings. These might be cordials or shot glasses, but we think they look like egg cups!

We've used a large egg in the photos (which doesn't fit perfectly) but we generally have pullet eggs, size medium and these would be excellent for those.

One glass has a small flat chip to the bottom of the foot, all three of the others look like new, without damage.
