vintage hand embroidered cotton bedspreads, pair of summer weight coverlets w/ embroidery

Pair of 1940s or 50s vintage cotton muslin bedspreads with lovely embroidery, all handmade. Both of these measure 66" x 86" (sized for twin beds), and both have a trimmed area at the headboard to make room for reading light cords.

I think you'll probably never see that headboard edge when these are on beds, but it would be a fairly easy fix to just remove the rest of the ruffle at the top ends if it bothers you at all.

Aside from that, these look very nice, with very little wear. They do have some soil marks, especially at the fold lines. We haven't washed or soaked them at all.
