antique vintage wide silk ribbon, original roll, cherry red

Antique silk ribbon, lovely for your vintage sewing, hat trimmings or other millinery work, or pretty as gift package trims or other ornaments.

This came to us with an estate collection of many years... many beautiful old silk, satin, and grosgrain ribbons, some French and some American made. These were very carefully stored, and look nice, without soil or foxing, or any fading or signs of brittleness.

This roll of ribbon is not marked with a maker's name, but just a red heart (We've never heard of Red Heart ribbon, though of course their knitting yarns are famous!). The ribbon is a cherry red color, matte finish silk, 1 1/2" wide, this length is 2 yards.
