vintage brass door bell mid century Authotone mechanical doorbell musical chime

Mid century vintage architectural hardware... a mechanical door bell with musical, 2 tone chimes. This is an Authotone Suburban No 840. The outer door knocker is solid brass and is about 6 3/8" high. The portion that mounts on the inside of the door with the mechanical works and chimes is about 6 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 2".

This still has the original box and installation instructions (although worn and somewhat worm chewed), but there is some tarnish and discoloration to the brass.
