vintage hand painted rosemaling tole tin oil lamp, primitive antique kerosene can light

Vintage folk art hand painted tin oil lamp out of a farm estate here in Wisconsin. This has a nice large metal can base 8 1/2" in diameter, and stands about 19" tall to the top of the included glass chimney shade.

This is an old font with a much newer burner not worthy of the quality of the base, and has also been horribly wired for electricity at some point. (We say 'horrible', because it not only looks bad, but it's not working, either!)

 We've left it just as we found it, but think you could probably fix this up very nicely with some 'new' old traditional parts. The base is lovely, with a good patina, and beautiful rosemaled paint.
