antique electric desk lamp, ornate cast iron w/ vintage prismatic glass shade

Early electric desk or table lamp, with ornate cast iron lamp base, and old ribbed glass lamp shade. This measures about 14" tall overall.

The metalwork including the original electrical socket has been copper painted many years ago... it's a heavy coat of paint, showing only a few rust spots. The helmet style glass shade looks very good, without chips or cracks. The old electrical cord has been cut off, this will need to be rewired.
