1880s antique book Ireland past & present, shabby green cover w/ shamrocks, many engravings

Terribly worn and shabby 1883 book Ireland - Past and Present. Beautiful cover, lots of Victorian era engravings. This is in very poor condition, though - loose cover and pages, missing pages at the back and possibly the front.

Endpapers are spotted and very marked up (though I think that's part of its charm). 'Old Ireland Will Be Free' is written inside (also in Gaelic I think, though it's been covered with white-out). Oh, and I paid quite a bit more than the $4.00 penciled price for this piece!
