antique 1880s - 1930s scrapbook albums, one lady's collections of snips, cards, keepsakes
more photos of this product below
Two old albums put together many years ago by a lady named Ava. One was made
during her youth, the other 50 years later when she again found some quiet
times to gather her memories. These are so touching!
The first book is 1880s, very Victorian in style, with many calling cards,
trade cards, lovely old snips, rewards of merit from school, pressed
flowers, even a scrap of a real American flag carried during the Civil War.
The second book is 1930s for the most part, many greeting cards in this one!
Times changed so much, so fast for this lady. She lived in small town
greater Milwaukee area, and her story is very typical for so many. It's a
small window into the life times of our grandmothers, great grandmothers, or
great-great grandmothers.
