It is published by the University of Illinois - College of Agriculture and Agricultural Experiment Station" and is dated 1936 on the front cover.
This old how-to guide has 56 pages illustrated with lots of photos showing how to handle ropes, tie knots, weave splices etc. There is also a handy section on reducing wear to your rope from use with lubricants etc. and a table on the correct pulley size, safety load and breaking load for manila hemp rope.
This booklet has wear and some spotting / staining to the pages and soil / wrinkling to the cover from years in a farm library.
