1870s book salesman's sample western frontier stories, engravings

Old antique 1870s salesman's sample of J. H. Beadle's -The Undeveloped West or Five Years in the Territories-. This salesman's book has a gilt embossed art binding and containsa map and selections of the full edition with engraved illustrations.

There is also a ledger in the back for recording book sales and the remains of a large advertising fold out for a different book. This has some light wear.
