Markesan Wisconsin Green Lake souvenir old antique hand embroidered pillow top

Early 1900s vintage souvenir of the Green Lake Wisconsin area, a pillow top embroidered "Markesan" with roses all around. I believe this was probably hand stitched over a summer vacation at the Little and Big Green Lakes!

This measures about 16 1/2" square, with ragged edges (no backing fabric). It's worn, but in good structural shape, a lovely piece to frame.
