carved stone onyx or obsidian figure, Aztec Mayan tiki god handmade in Mexico

Vintage folk art carved stone figure a little over 7" tall. I was told this was from Mexico, but I don't know much else about it. It's in very good condition without chips or cracks. The stone is really lovely, with a sort of a tiger's eye look.
