antique Federal eagle and flag frame for solider's photo, WWI vintage

Beautiful old wood frame from World War I, with an eagle and a flag. This would have originally held a portrait of a soldier, but we have only the frame, without picture or glass. It's 19" x 12 3/4" over the opening, and 24 1/2" x 18 1/2" overall. There's some slight chipping and cracking to the gesso and gold paint, though the wood of the frame looks fine.
