antique waffle pattern glass canister hoosier jar, flattened shape quart jar

Vintage clear glass canister jar with a cross hatch or waffle pattern, fancy diamond patterned sides, a plain untextured place to hold a label on the front. It's a quart size, about 7 3/4" tall.

The lid is of the same general period, 1920s or early 1930s at our best guess. It's an old zinc metal Ball jar lid, very likely not the original lid for this jar, though it fits fine.
