primitive antique vintage wood spinning wheel for homespun wool yarn

Rustic old pioneer style wooden spinning wheel. This is a working spinning wheel with a steel crank on the wheel, leather mounting bushings on the winder etc. It is marked Alfred Andersen & Co - Minneapolis. It stands about 36" high.

This is from the estate of a woman who did textile arts, weaving, knitting etc and made much of her own home spun yarn from raw wool.

This spinning wheel was in her stash for future restoration work. It has some repairs and cracks from age and the hooks on the winder have been replaced (a few hooks are missing). It will need some work to get it into fully functional, production condition, but it is a nice piece.
