old antique kitchen canister oil bottle from vintage canisters set, Germany or Czech?

Early century vintage oil bottle with stopper, not marked at all that I could find... it looks German or Czechoslovakia to me, rather than Japan, I think?

This has flat chip to the inside of the unglazed stopper, no chips to the bottle. The bottle with stopper measures 9 1/4" tall, it's a piece of nice older pantry ware, or for the kitchen shelf, not a tabletop sized cruet!
