vintage black leather helmet soft cap, retro mid-century biker motorcycle gear

Vintage black leather soft helmet for motorcycle riders or motocross style. No size label, this fits well on a 22" or 23" head.

The label is The Leather Works El Cajon California as shown. (The pink and gold at the bottom of the close up is a pencil, not a lining or part of the helmet! I should use plain pencils, sorry about that.)

It's used and worn, with loose label, scuffing, a few rips and tears. I have no idea how to tell horsehide from lamb or cowhide, so I can't tell you for certain what type of leather this is.
