Large old antique cast iron scale weight. This is a large weight and weighs about 5 pounds. It is marked for 1000 pounds and would have had be used with a large platform scale, probably at a feed mill or livestock market to weigh farm animals or hay and grain.

It measures about 4 5/16 across and 2 1/8" high with worn old red paint.
