big heavy old brass coat or horse blanket hooks, vintage sewing notions

Two very large (1 1/2" long hook, not including the mounting eyes) hooks, solid brass, for a coat or horse blanket? These are not marked, but have a nice antique patina of age to the brassware, we'd guess they'd be very early 1900s, or maybe late 1800s.
