big heavy solid brass bell without clapper, vintage farm dinner bell or old ship's bell

20th century vintage solid brass bell missing its clapper... this doesn't seem to be marked or engraved, and we're sorry to say that we know very little about its history. But it's big and heavy (about 5 3/4"" tall x 5 1/2" across the rim) and we think it would look great in either a farmhouse or nautical style setting!
