handcrafted artisan pottery bowl, blue cat silhouettes hand thrown clay artist signed

Beautifully made modern art pottery bowl (1998 or 1999?) signed 'a gift from gaia'. This is hand thrown, about 8" in diameter. It's in excellent condition without damage or wear.

I love the design - blue cats silhouettes on white glaze. I haven't been able to track down any information about this pottery, or the artist though, and I don't know where this was made.
