primitive antique vintage iron turnbuckle for crosscut bucksaw

Rusty old primitive iron bucksaw turn buckle. This measures about 20.5" long, but it is adjustable. This has a patina of age.

This turnbuckle was made to be used on a wood framed crosscut saw to tension the saw blade. By keeping the sawblade under tension, a thinner blade could be used, requiring less work by cutting a smaller saw kerf (the wood removed by the saw blade when cutting).
