lacquered wood inlay tray w/ solid brass gallery rail handles, vintage Italy

Beautiful highly lacquered wood tray with inlaid (parquetry or marquetry - I can't remember the difference between the two, sorry!) design. It's Italian, mid-century vintage, marked Italy on the bottom side of the tray. This has a all brass gallery rail and handles, very detailed and nicely made.

This measures 18" x 12" over the tray area, and 20" long over the handles. It's in very good condition, lays flat, no cracking or buckling. There are a few very light scratches to the lacquer finish.
