steampunk vintage metal instrument box, antique beat to hell traveling case

Antique late 1800s or early 1900s metal sided instrument case, beat to hell inside and out. The handle has been replaced with waxed twine cordage!

It's heavy for it's size, not a lightweight aluminum but serious steel structure. Measures 18" x 12" x 5 1/2" over the exterior of the case. Sadly, we have no key.
