vintage German camp axe/hatchet head, West Germany

Vintage, made in Germany axehead. This has a European felling axe shap and doesn't look quite like an American axe. It measures about 6 7/8" long and 4" high (along the cutting edge). It is stamped "W Germany" and has some old blue paint and light rust.
