old striped wool saddle blankets, vintage fabric remnants for western decor projects, sewing bags?

Lot of two small pony saddle blankets made from a larger blanket with bold stripes in red, yellow, black and cream.

These have been used on horses, washed and worn. Primitive looking fabric but still thick and sturdy wool, and not noticeably stained or discolored.

Both of these are about the same size, 24" x 46". There's no tags or markings on either of these pieces - and I don't know their origins or exact age.
