old brown stoneware pottery mixing bowl vintage Western / Monmouth?

Vintage brown glazed stoneware kitchen bowl marked only USA (and #8), possibly a Monmouth piece, we think? This came out of an estate with a large amount of Monmouth crockery and other old Western marked stoneware pieces. The bowl measures 8" in diameter and is in very nice condition, no chips or cracks.
