ornate antique oak frame w/ large vintage Prevost french floral print

Lovely antique oak and silver gesso picture frame with old rose botanical print (J L Prevost). We believe the frame is older than the print - we'd guess the print as 1940s or 50s, but we haven't removed it from the frame to examine it closely. The paper has a little discoloration and water spotting, which works well in this setting since it's obvious that the frame is a circa 1900 antique original.

The frame measures 26 1/2" x 21 1/2" overall, and 19 1/2" x 14 1/2" over the picture area. The shellac finished wood looks very good, and the gesso has only very slight rubbing and crackling. It's a beautiful old frame, and would be a perfect setting for turn of the century artwork, or an antique photograph.
