1920s vintage celluloid plastic 'gourd' baby rattle, collectible antique toy

1920s vintage celluloid rattle painted to look like a gourd (real gourds were often used as rattles and baby toys, many years ago). The paint is nice and bright without wear, though it has a few dents in the celluloid.

This is about 6" long end to end, very light and fragile looking. Nothing at all like infant toys made today! An interesting collectible - but not safe for children. This is a collector's piece only.
