Lovely antique silverware set from the early 1920s, in it's original velvet lined wood box with paperwork. This is Oneida Community Par plate silverplate in the Vernon or Ashley pattern. Very clean modern style with an art deco feel.
It's been used, and the silverware and the box show some wear even though they've been very carefully cared for. The silver plating shows no base metal that I could see, but most of these pieces do show scratching.
It's a set for six - six each of tea spoons, soup spoons, dinner forks and knives, also a sugar spoon and a butter knife, and a ladle. The wood case measures about 10" x 10 1/2" overall.
