Victorian aesthetic and Egyptian revival style all comes together on this baroque silver plate tea pot! A sphinx as the finial, stags heads at the feet.
It's marked Reed and Barton, dates to the 1880s. Condition is not the best - the silver plating is very worn, leaving this a dull pewter color for the most part. It displays very well even so.
There's some slight misshaping or bending to this piece which I have not attempted to correct. The cast details look very good, complete without breakage or repairs.
