1940s or 50s vintage glass jar from Crisco. This has a narrow neck, you must have had to get the Crisco out a little at a time with a spoon, unless you melted it all in the jar, to use for frying?
I've generally seen these Crisco jars marked with the Hazel Atlas HA mark - this is the first time I've ever found a Ball Crisco jar.
It measures about 5 1/4" in diameter x 5 3/4" tall. It has a little soil (I haven't soaked it), but no chips or roughness. It's missing the original metal lid.
