antique hatchet, rustic hewing hatchet w/ broad ax head, primitive iron farm tool

Antique iron hatchet with a rustic wood handle. This is a hewing hatchet and the head is flat on one side like it's larger cousin, the broad axe. It's about 14 1/2" long overall and hatchet head is about 5" along the edge.

This has been repaired and there is an old arc weld on the flat side of the head where the eye had cracked. The repair is shown in the 4th photo.
