This is what seems to be called a perfume bottle these days, although originally 'perfumes' are the small bottles, and a large bottle like this holds a eau de toilette or cologne water (like a splash or a 'fragrance spray' of today). OK, rant over. I just want to be as accurate as possible!
This mid-century vintage bottle is made in Japan, with the ever popular moss rose pattern. It was probably part of a vanity set originally, though we have just this single bottle. The desk or vanity boxes and trays are pretty easy to find, I don't often find bottles in any size.
This one is complete with the original corked stopper, and is in good clean condition overall, There's some foxing discoloration to the china, and the cork is a little worn. Bottle alone measures 6" tall, with the stopper above that.
