This vintage silver plated basket was probably intended to hold a glass jam pot, but we think it would be great to hold an Easter egg!
The egg we used in the photo is a small egg, this would have worked better with a jumbo egg or even a goose egg.
This measures about 6 3/4" tall to the top of the handle, 2 1/2" across the rim of the basket, 1 3/4" across the opening at the bottom, basket 1 3/4" deep.
We found no makers marks on this piece, though we'd guess its 1920s or 30s vintage. It would probably hold a small roly poly glass for jam or mints, or a small glass vase for flowers if you'd like.
