antique Victorian Arts & Crafts bronze/brass door knob escutcheon plate
more photos of this product belowAntique Eastlake vintage, Arts & Craft escutcheon plate for a doorknob made of heavy cast bronze (or maybe red brass). We've been told that this was probably done by Charles Eastlake (or another designer of the Aesthetic Movement), but we're not sure. This has a socket for the base of a door knob and two keyholes for skeleton keys.
The escutcheon plate measures 7.25" long, 1.75" wide and about 3/32" thick. the socket for the door knob is about 5/8" across. It is a patina of age and some old paint on the back of the plate.
