lot of antique vintage wood bed rail brackets for bedstead shop display

Large lot of eight pairs (16 total) old wood bed rail brackets for holding the headboards and footboards of antique beds upright while on display in the store. These display fixtures are intended to mount in place of the full length bed rails to conserve floor space in the shop.

These are marked with old label decals the patent date May 2, 1911 and "DeBoer Mfg" (the holder of the patent). We ran down the patent with the US Patent Office and the actual patent number is 991-049. These short rails have finger jointed corners and iron turnbuckle clamps.

They measure about 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" and are in nice condition.
