Worn old wood cheese box from Borden process cheese, mid-century vintage. This measures about 9" long. It's been used to hold old nuts and bolts for many years now, and is a little dusty / dirty.

These vintage cheese crates are great for vignettes or risers for displays, or for storing small items. Very popular for clothespins, I'm including the handful of old wood peg style clothespins shown in the photos to get you started. :)
