Good old wood packing box for upholsterer's tacks - this measures 11" x 7 1/2" x 5 1/5", and has finger jointed dovetails at the corners.

There are two drilled holes in one side. The box is nice and solid overall, and has been neatly varnished at some point (many years ago, I think).
