vintage embossed brass magazine stand or music rack, scenes from Shakespeare

Tarnished vintage brass reading stand for magazines or newspapers – this is sturdy wood under the embossed brass, and you could easily use it to hold music scores, art paper etc.. Measures 15 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 12" deep.

The scene looks to me like Verdi's Simon Boccanegra, but I think it's more likely to be something out of Shakespeare. Just can't think which play this would be.

In any case, this piece is full of classic, old school reading room feel, and will look great by your favorite chair or in your library.
