1940s vintage Sovereign Canada British Empire Made china plate advertising Dewberry Alberta

1940 Christmas gift plate from Ewen's Meat Market and General Store, Dewberry Alberta Canada. I think the makers marks on this plate are rather rarely found and really interesting - this is marked British Empire Made, Sovereign Canada.

Plate measures 10 1/2" across the handles, and has a lovely embossed floral design around the border. It's very foxed, spotted and stained with discoloration front and back.
