Mid-1800s ironstone china with horse chestnut embossed border, ten sided shape. The bowl is 10 3/4" across the rim, and the plate is 9 1/2" across the rim.
Both of these pieces have finish wear, serious discoloration and scratching... though neither has chips or cracks. The very old ironstone is nearly unbreakable, and these are lovely early examples in a very sought after pattern.
