vintage Blue Ridge pottery dinnerware set for 8, Green Briar or Greenbriar pattern
more photos of this product belowGreen and tan flowered Blue Ridge pottery dishes, 1940s or 50s vintage, all hand-painted. This pattern looks more like clematis than a green briar to us, but we love the green piecrust edge trim, and the apple green flowers!
It's a complete set for eight, although some of these pieces do have condition problems, please see below. We thought we'd leave it all together as we found it as we know a lot of people like to use the Blue Ridge as their real, everyday china.
This set is eight each of dinner plates (about 9 1/2" in diameter), lug handled chowder bowls (about 7" across the handles), fruit bowls (about 5 1/2" in diameter) and salad or bread plates (about 6 1/4" in diameter). There's eight each of cups and saucers, and a few serving pieces as shown.
Now for the condition problems - this is a used set, and everything has a few light utensil marks. Many pieces have crazing.
Two of the dinner plates have very small chips, and one cup and two of the chowders have noticeable chips. We saw a few discolored spots, or rings on the underside of the cups.
