Antique Wedgwood ironstone china plate in the moss rose pattern, late 1800s. The stamped mark is Wedgwood Stone Granite, the printed mark is Wedgwood Royalstone China with the English Royal Arms.
This is browned, with staining and discolored crazing - but there's no chips or cracks, and the hand painted gold trim looks very good without wear. A beautiful piece for display or styling, we wouldn't hesitate to use this on the table just as it is.
It measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" across the well, 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" across the rim, about 9" across the handles. This was probably made as a serving plate, or a cheese tray, I think.
