Vintage pressed glass plate with center design of a thistle, textured background and linked chain pattern border.
This came out of the estate of a couple who bought and sold 'antiques' for years without apparently managing to be interested or knowledgeable about any of them!
They did not know anything about this piece, and I haven't been able to track down this pattern. Seems like almost every glass company ever made a pattern called thistle.
This is about 5 1/2" in diameter across the rim, fairly heavy. A little large for a cup plate, possibly a bottle coaster? Glass is clear without any discoloration, but many EAPG pieces are the same.
Or possibly this is a reproduction, or just a piece in an old fashioned style. Or maybe a souvenir of Scotland! It's in very good condition, no chips, roughness, or finish wear.
