Large old meteorological barometer with an octagonal pine frame. This old barometer is marked "P. F. Bollenbach - Barrington, Illinois - Jeweled" on the instrument face. It will measure the changing barometric pressure from 28 up to 31. We believe this is an aneroid barometer (without mercury) rather then a barometer that uses a column of mercury to measure the atmospheric pressure.
This vintage barometer measures about 9" across the face and 14" wide across the wood frame. The back of the wood frame is stamped "#160". This is in very nice condition, works well and has a small adjustment screw in the back for calibration.
